KAMPALA - A woman and her lover are nursing deep wounds at Mulago national referral hospital after her husband allegedly stabbed them with a kitchen knife.

Sadat Sekabira, 26, a businessman from Masaku zone, Makindye in Kampala is now accused of attempting to murder his wife Olivia Nakazzi, 23 and her lover Sammy Stakake, 24, a radio presenter mid this week.

According to Katwe police investigations Chief Emmanuel Benon Ayebale, the incident occurred at the couple’s home at around 11:00am local time.

Ayebale disclosed to New Vision at Katwe Police Station that Sekabira attacked the duo most likely under the suspicion that they were engaged in an extra-marital affair.

“It is alleged that the neighbours of the couple have been warning Sekabira that his wife was secretly dating Stakake, prompting him to hire people to spy on her wife,” the police chief narrated.

But after months of failing to catch the duo together, on Wednesday, Sekabira is believed to have devised a Plan B.

He allegedly forced his wife to beckon her lover to their matrimonial home in Masaku under the pretext of craving to spend some quality time with him.

“So, Stakate reportedly rushed to meet his lover at her home. When he entered the house, Sekabira emerged from the bedroom and locked the door to the living room and thereafter went on rampage, stabbing the duo until other members of the family came to their rescue,” said an eye witness who preferred anonymity.

Nakazzi sustained deep cuts on her arms, chest and neck as Stakate suffered a deep wound on his face.

However, before the victims could report the case to police, Sekabira filed a case of criminal trespass against Stakate at Katwe police station.

Investigations continue as the alleged cheating duo remains under medical care.
