REGISTRATION FOR THE 2013 EXAMINATIONS

This is to inform the general public that registration for the October/November 2013 examinations has commenced. These are PLE 2013, UCE 2013, UACE 2013 and BTVET 2013.

Heads of Centres and District Inspectors of School should collect Entry Forms from UNEB Head office at Ntinda.

Please note that Government has directed that the registration fees for the forthcoming examinations remain the same as of 2012:

(a) PLE

(i) Registration fee is 14,000= per candidate

(ii) The government will continue to pay the PLE registration fees for UPE candidates

(b) UCE

(i) Registration fee for each candidate, inclusive of Entry Form and A5 Form (S.5 Application Form) is 80,000=

(ii) Additional fee for each private candidate is 12,000=

(c) UACE

(i) Registration fee for each candidate inclusive of Entry Form and Photo Collection Form (PCF) is 80,500=

(ii) Additional fee for each private candidate is 14,500=

(d) Late registration will attract a surcharge as follows:

(i) 100% for Non-UPE candidates. Hence Non-UPE candidates will pay 28,000=

(ii) 50% for Non-USE candidates. Hence Non-USE candidates will pay 120,000/= while private candidates will pay 138,000=

(iii) 50% for Non-UPOLET candidates. Hence Non-UPOLET candidates will pay 120,750= while private candidates will pay 142,500=

(e) Under protest fee per paper is 50,000=

(f) Transfer fee when authorized is 250,000=

(g) Undeclared private candidate fee is 50,000=

(h) Closing dates for registration of PLE, UCE and UACE candidates are as follows:

(i) Deadline for registration of UPE, USE and UPOLET candidates is 15th April 2013

(ii) Normal registration for Non-UPE, Non-USE and Non-UPOLET candidates closes on 30th April 2013

(iii) Late registration starts on 1st May 2013 and ends on 31st May 2013

(i) Registration fees and dates for BTVET June 2013 examinations are as below:

(i) Normal registration for June 2013 examinations started on 1st March and closed on 29th March 2013. Late registration started on 2nd April and ends on 12th April 2013

(ii) Basic fees per candidate is 9,000=

(iii) Subject fee per paper is 9,000= for National Business Certificates and 10,000= for National Business Diplomas. Ordinary Technical Diploma will pay 10,000= while Higher Technical Diploma will pay 12,500=

(iv) Private and Referred candidates are to pay an extra 9,000= per candidate

(v) Under protest fee is 50,000= per paper while Entry Forms cost 5,000= per candidate

(vi) Late entry fees per candidate is 50% of the normal fees and 100% after official close of registration

(j) Normal registration for BTVET November 2013 examinations started on 1st March and closes on 30th April 2013. Late registration starts on 2nd May and ends on 31st May 2013

(i) Basic fees per candidate is 9,000=

(ii) Subject fees per paper: UJTC & Craft I is 6,000=, Craft II is 7,000=, Craft III is 10,000= and Community Polytechnic Certificates is 9,000=

(iii) Paragraphs iv, v and vi above apply here as well.

NB: Headteachers are warned against charging more than the respective amounts indicated above.
