RUGBY Cranes 7s team coach has said that he will concentrate on physic and speed of the players before the team leaves for the CAR 7s tournament in Mombasa later this month.

Tolbert Onyango revealed this in an interview after his team’s trial games with teams that participated in the Nile Special Fun rugby tournament on Good Friday in Jinja.

“They are good and have the skills but we have to improve on the physic and their speed in the next three weeks before we leave for the tournament,” Onyango said.

His select side Batujju lost to Kenya’s Kisumu 5-0 in the semi-final.

“I’m confident that by the time we head to Mombasa the team will be strong but all the same that aggressiveness and speed is our focus now that we have identified their playing partnership,” Onyango explained.

There are 21 players in training at the moment but they will be trimmed to 12 for the final squad.
