MP Nyakikongoro discharged

Sheema district woman MP Rosemary Nyakikongoro has been discharged from Nakasero Hospital Kampala where she had been admitted since last Saturday after she got involved in a car accident.

Sheema district woman MP Rosemary Nyakikongoro has been discharged from Nakasero Hospital Kampala where she had been admitted since last Saturday after she got involved in a car accident.

“I am now feeling better; the doctors have worked on me very well I was going to die,” said Nyakikongoro.

Before she was discharged, the speaker of permanent Rebecca Kadaga paid a courtesy call to Nyakikongoro at Nakasero hospital yesterday and wished her a quick recovery.

“I was wondering what you were looking like, I just thank God you are okay, “said Kadaga.

Kadaga who presented a bouquet of flowers to Nyakikongoro added that; “these (flowers) are for you look at them, smell them and feel good you will not die at least you can smiling”.

Nyakikongoro, who was traveling from Kampala to Sheema district, got a serious deep cut on her left leg while her nephew Simon Manye and driver David Kibatenda survived with serious bruises.

The MP together with her team was first rushed to Mulago hospital after which they were later transferred to Nakesero Hospital for special medical attention.

The accident occurred at 10am, at Kibure in Katende along Masaka Road in Mpigi district when the car registration number UAJ 434X in which Nyakikongoro together with her nephew and the driver were traveling in veered off the road as they were dodging an oncoming over speeding vehicle.
