Uganda is hosting the 10th annual meeting of the African Science Academics, a two-day meeting that will take place at Lake Victoria Serena Resort starting today.

Uganda is hosting the 10th annual meeting of the African Science Academics, a two-day meeting that will take place at Lake Victoria Serena Resort starting today.
 
The conference will bring together civil society organizations, donors, government and private sector to discuss how to promote local ownership of Africa’s development agenda in the post 2015 era.
 
According to a press release, President Yoweri Museveni is expected to open the conference which will also be attended by the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga.
 
During the meeting, a report will be launched detailing how African development institutions can promote ownership on the continent’s development agenda.
 
Several countries will be represented, with delegates from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Senegal, Kenya, South Africa, Cameroon, and Ghana expected to attend.
 
Other delegates will be from the United States.
