A city tycoon was knocked dead by his own wife in the wee hours of Friday morning at their home in Bugoloobi, a posh Kampala suburb.

Juvenal Nsenga was pronounced dead at Paragon ospital in Bugoloobi where he had been rushed after sustaining serious injuries.

The events that led up to the accident are bizzare. Nsenga had just opened for his wife, Jackline Nsenga,  at 3.30am as the guard had gone to the village.

The wife is said to have rung the door bell and went back to the car to wait for the gate to be opened. When Nsenga opened the gate she started the car and drove right through and knocked him to the ground, and reportedly dragged him on the tarmac inside the compound.

Jinja road police traffic boss Francis Onen said Nsenga lost an arm in the process and cracked some ribs.  Jackline was driving a Toyota Mark X that was impounded at Naguru.

Onen said they recorded a statement from the widow and other members who were at the home. Onen said the body was taken to Mulago national referral hospital for post-mortem.
