Tributes have been paid to the fallen Butaleja district woman MP Cerinah Nebanda.

The outspoken NRM MP died under unclear circumstances last week as she was being rushed to the Hospital.

In a special Parliament plenary session Tuesday afternoon chaired by Deputy Speaker, Jacob Oulanyah, MPs described Nebanda as a nationalist, brave and vibrant leader who was loved by all Ugandans who love Uganda.

The motion for resolution of Parliament to pay tribute to the fallen MP was moved by deputy leader of Government business in the House Gen. Moses Ali.

Ali described Nebanda as a brave and vibrant legislator who was never deterred by her young age from national articulating issues.

He hailed the distinguished services of a young and vibrant MP Uganda will greatly miss. He explained that the desire for leadership motivated Nebanda to stand for an elective posts becoming one of the Uganda’s youngest legislator and an inspiration to many young people as a role model.

The motion was seconded by the leader of the Opposition in Parliament Nadala Mafabi who described Nebanda as a person who put Uganda first in what she was doing.

Nandala asked the Government to not stop Ugandans from discussing what could have caused her death. “Cerinah, we will miss you”, Nandala said.
