RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY

PROCUREMENT OF BRAND NEW 4-WD STATION WAGONS & 4-WD DOUBLE CABIN PICK-UPS

1. The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has allocated funds to be used for acquisition of:

Lot 1: Two Brand New 4-WD Station Wagons

Lot 2: Four Brand New 4-WD Double Cabin Pick-Ups

Bidders may bid for 1 (One) or both Lots but each Lot shall be responded to and priced separately.

2. The Rural Electrification Agency invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply of Two Brand New 4-WD Station Wagons and Four Brand New 4-WD Double Cabin Pick-ups under Lots: 1 and 2 above.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Rural Electrification Agency Offices and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) from 08:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m. (local time).

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Uganda Shillings Two Hundred Thousand Only (UGX 200,000).

The method of payment will be by cash to the REA cash Office and an official receipt issued.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) on or before 21st December 2012 at 11:00 a.m. (local time). All bids must be accompanied by bid securities as follows: Lot 1: Two Brand New 4-WD Station Wagons; UGX 4,000,000 (Uganda Shillings Four million) Only; and Lot 2: Four Brand New 4-WD Double Cabin Pick- Ups; UGX 6,000,000 (Uganda Shillings Six Million) only.

Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) on 21st December 2012 at 11.15a.m. (Local time).
