Star artistes Jose Chameleone and Bobby Wine have taken their rivalry to the boxing ring.

Chameleone has declared that he will be behind his long time buddy Ssennyange. Bobby Wine, a staunch boxing fan, will on the other hand to back Hassan “Bana Bana” Diba.

“I am a winner just like Zebra. I urge Ugandans to come in big numbers to see my man beat Bana Bana,” said Chameleone.

Bobby Wine is also doing everything to ensure that victory is on their side. They will, starting today at 8am, have a training session at the artiste’s One Love Beach in Busaabala.

Dibba and Chameleone will on their part try out the beach next weekend.

“They will be at Imperial Resort in Entebbe doing final touches,” said Emma Mwesigwa, the fight organiser.

Ddiba and Ssennyange will be battling in a 10-rounder at the Lugogo MTN Arena on November 30. This will be the first boxing event at the refurbished facilities in close to three years.

Heavyweight Kenneth Odeke will on the same night take on Kenya’s Joseph Ayeko in the other contest that has all the markings of a thriller.

Odeke, described as one of the hardest hitting heavyweights in Africa, got off to a flying start in the paid ranks early this year by knocking out a Kenyan opponent at the Garden City Arena.

The other fights on the night include Welterweight- Juma Waisswa v Mustafa Mongolia; feather - Frank Kiwalabye v Robert Mudawa; and fly- Alex Lukwago v Misiswera Ssebugwawo.
