BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN BIDDING

UNCST-GRT-03/SPLS/12-13/00024

1. The Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) has received funds from International Development Association (IDA) part of which is to be used for the acquisition of ICT equipment for Round 3 MSI Grantees and UNCST.

2. The UNCST invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of ICT Equipment.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders from Uganda.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from UNCST and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) from 8:00am to 5:00 pm.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below in No. 7(a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000. The method of payment will be Cash deposit to UNCST bank account. The document if not collected will be sent by courier upon specific instructions by the bidder. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below in No. 7(b) at or before 10:00 East African

Standard Time, 28th November 2012. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of

Ugx 18,500,000. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below in No. 7(b) at 10:15am, 28th November 2012.
