Fyonna Nsubuga and Barbi Jay

So Fyonna, what really inspired you to come back home?

Well, it’s my country and I thought I would come back and support the upcoming musicians and since I have fans here in Uganda as well, I felt it would help me serve them all.

Why did you choose to start with Barbi Jay?

He is a promising musician and when I first listened to his music, I like it and got the courage to sing with him a love song.

And why shoot from Club Ambiance?

It is a new club and we felt it would be such a thrill to be the first people to shoot from here. And, we also wanted to our video to look great since it is a cool location.

[To Barbi Jay] What kind of songs do you sang so far?

I have Tombuza, Emilina, Sumbusa, Tobawulila among others. On her part, Fyonna has Mpaka mwisho, Mpurira Kika, Nsiba Nkulowoozako, Satisfy you, Yamanyi Mukama, and more.

What’s unique about this particular video?

Since it is our first time to sing together, we thoroughly planned through it and made sure everything is perfect. Our fans will love it! Meanwhile, we recorded the song with Reverb Studios which is owned by Barbi Jay. The video shooting has been done by Video Premiers based in Kampala.

You have used three dancers in your video, what requirements did you consider getting them?

They are young, they look good and they know what they do. They are not shy like some others are and they sing Karaoke. For their dress code, I chose leggings and a dress-top because it’s a club song.
