Pastor Michael Kyazze of Omega Healing Centre in Zana, off Entebbe Road, has finalised his 100 hours of community service.

This was part of the court punishment for defaming Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle Centre in a sodomy case.

Kyazze served his sentence at Naguru Hospital where he has been attending to patients in different forms, including the spiritual aspect.

“I am glad that I am through with this task which has been instrumental to my life. I have used this period to spread the gospel to the sick and many have devoted themselves to God,” said Kyazze.

Pastors Kyazze, Solomon Male, Martin Ssempa and Robert Kayira, together with Deborah Anita Kyomuhendo, a businesswoman and David Mukalazi, a musician, were convicted by Buganda Road Grade I Magistrate Julius Borore.

Borore sentenced them to a fine of sh1m and community service of 100 hours each or serve six months in prison.

Community service is where a convict is forced to perform manual labour in the community.
