FASHION COURT: How can I wear a latex catsuit?

We have an old students’ party and I want to wear a latex catsuit to show off my beautiful body since I was bullied and nicknamed at school for my looks. How can I pull it off?

Latex clothing has been around for decades, although the movie ‘cat woman’ gave it a lot of prominence.

The most common latex clothes are bodysuits and jackets. Like most ladies, I know you want to make a statement. Take note that clothes made from latex often leave little to the imagination, as it clings to the skin and its shiny character beckons for attention.

This means you have to be careful in your choice, right from the colour selection to what you wear it with.

Latex material maintains a high degree of friction against a dry skin, meaning that your movements may be accompanied by squeaky sounds.

Apply skin moisturiser to minimize this and avoid discomfort.
Do not be deceived that latex is very strong. Latex can be weak, depending on the thickness of the sheet used, so you have to be careful not to get it torn.

That may mean your former schoolmates finding another nickname for you.
Inspect your outfit for any tears and fix those that can be repaired before you stretch into it.

Make sure it is the right fit. Latex clothing should be body-hugging for the best look.
Keep accessories to a minimum.

The material is shiny enough. For a catsuit, wear only earrings alone and match them to your footwear.
Whatever the motives for wearing latex clothing, heads are bound to turn wherever you will pass.
