Speaker Rebecca Kadaga led MPs to a charity walk on Kampala streets to raise money to save the crested crane.

Speaker Rebecca Kadaga led MPs to a charity walk on Kampala streets to fundraise money to save the crested crane.

The crested crane is a national symbol which reflects the colors of the national flag but its facing extinction.

“The crested crane is gentle, friendly and peaceful, its characters embody the spirit, of Ugandans because they are hospitable, happy and friendly,” Kadaga pointed said.

Kadaga planted a tree at the Parliamentary (Common Wealth Heads Government) CHOGM gardens as Parliament continues with a week-long activities to mark Uganda’s jubilee celebrations
