FASHION COURT: Wearing skinny jeans

I have seen women struggle to wear skinny jeans. They tend to slip whenever one sits, thus exposing their butt cheeks. Is this right?

Skinny jeans are a versatile choice of clothing. They can be worn by people of different body shapes and not just skinny people as the name suggests. They can be flattering on some people, but for others they should be a no-go area.
If a person is on the chubbier side, then they should wear flared jeans, teamed with dark coloured tops to give a slimmer silhouette.

They make a perfect fit for people with a flat tummy; but if you have a big one and decide to wear skinny jeans, team them with long line tops or tunics, to avoid looking like a Teletubby.

Often, people like to wear skinny jeans with flats; but that look works best for people who have taller and lean figures. For shorter and curvier ladies, wearing them with flats will make you appear stocky. Instead, the short person can wear leg-lengthening heels. But to be more confident, go for jeans with a straight-legged style.

They give a skinny silhouette and are a little more forgiving on the leg. And if you are endowed with big thighs or calves, then skinny jeans are not for you at all. Look for flared jeans, boot cut or straight leg jeans to keep the legs in proportion.
