The Office of the President has secured funds from the GOU Budget and has allocated part of the funds towards the Compiling, designing and printing of 1,000 copies of Pictorial Coffee Table Books and 1,000 copies of a book the “History of Uganda since 1962”.

BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING

UGANDA GOLDEN JUBILEE PUBLICATIONS

1. The Office of the President has secured funds from the GOU Budget and has allocated part of the funds towards the Compiling, designing and printing of 1,000 copies of Pictorial Coffee Table Books and 1,000 copies of a book the “History of Uganda since 1962”.

 2. The Office of the President now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Provision and delivery of: Lot 1- 1,000 copies of Pictorial Coffee Table Books. Lot 2- 1000 copies of a book “History of Uganda since 1962”.

 3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

 4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Office of the President and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) from 8.30 a.m. – 4.30p.m between August 24, 2012 and September 6, 2012.

 5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 7(a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UShs.100,000/=. The method of payment will be by a bank payment advice obtained from the Cash Office during working hours from 8.30 a.m. – 4.30p.m.

 6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at

 7(a) at or before 12.00 noon on September 6, 2012. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of: Lot 1: Ushs.4,000,000/= Lot 2: Ushs.2,000,000/=

No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

 Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address below at

 7(b) at 12.30 p.m on September 6, 2012.
