KCC v Gladiators

Nkumba v Falcons

THE Falcons have not been kind to mid-table challengers lately and the Nkumba Marines need no reminder of this.

But whether that knowledge will be of any help to Nkumba when they face the Falcons in the Airtel National Basketball League today at the YMCA remains to be seen.

It certainly didn’t help them when they met the record national champions two months ago. The Falcons thumped Nkumba 88-44 in their first round match-up and the chances of a similar outcome today are high.

Nkumba haven’t improved much since that game while the Falcons have consolidated their campaign with more intimidating performances.

Over the weekend, Gad Eteu’s team clobbered the Heaters 83-43 while the Marines could only squeeze by the low-lying Giant Stormers 58-51.

Meanwhile, it doesn’t get any easier for the Gladiators in the women’s division as they face the KCC Leopards, three days after losing 120-30 to the UCU Lady Canons.
