Vision Group,UHMG donate to Kireka school

To mark the Day of the African Child which falls on June 16th, staff of Vision Group, UHMG and Metropolitan Republic visited Kireka Home for Disabled Children.

To mark the Day of the African Child which falls on June 16th, staff of Vision Group, UHMG and Metropolitan Republic visited Kireka Home for Disabled Children.

The staff carried foodstuffs and engaged in fun activity with the children. UHMG donated AQUASAFE and water drums to give the home access to more affordable but safe drinking water.

The Vision group led by the head of marketing, Suzan Nsibirwa handed over assortments of Goods to the children at the school. The children were excited and danced for the guests.

Earlier on the team toured the school and played with some of the children. It was joy and excitement when the teams and the children participated in a hand painting activity.

Speaking during the function, Nsibirwa said that the donation is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the company. 

“With the little we have we decided to partner with UHMG to bring you some of these gifts and also to spend a day with you during the celebrations of the Day of the African Child,” she said. She promised to lead the team and visit the school again.

The headmistress of the school, Siima Annet hailed Vision Group and UHMG for the donations saying that despite big challenges facing the school they do get good Samaritans like individuals and companies that look out for them.

She said that the school looks after 70 children mainly with disabilities. She asked government and firms to increase on the funds that are given to the school
