Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago Wednesday convened Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) special meeting to discuss pertinent issues affecting city dwellers.

Sources at KCCA have told the New Vision that top on the agenda; the status of the Kampala Land board, the budget performance, youth funds and infrastructure among other items.

Urban division mayors and councilors resolved Tuesday to put   KCCA executive director, Jennifer Musisi to task today to explain how funds for the last financial year, 2011/12 have been spent.

The mayors from Nakawa, Central, Lubaga and Kawempe claimed that their divisions have not full filled the pledges to the electorate as they have not benefited from the budget.

“My voters expect me to build a health center, a youth and women center but we have not yet received funding for this project,” Joyce Ssebugawawo, the Lubaga mayor said.

The mayors resolved that Musisi presents a budget performance review, before the end of this financial year. We shall keep you updated with the developments from the meeting.
