Sisqo talks Dru Hill into Kampala show

WHILE the world dreams of a Dru Hill comeback, Kampala could get a minicomeback concert, if word doing rounds is anything to go by.

WHILE the world dreams of a Dru Hill comeback, Kampala could get a minicomeback concert, if word doing rounds is anything to go by.

According to an impeccable source, Sisqo (Mark Althavens Andrews), whose concert is slated for August 25 at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds, has managed to convince James Rock (Woody) who left Dru Hill in 1999 to pursue a solo career to join him for the Kampala concert.

According to the source, Woody was always the hardest to deal with in the group that released hits like, Angel, In My Bed, How Deep Is Your Love.

He walked out again in 2002, when the group had a re-union that never lasted long. However, the source wasn’t committal on whether the 1990s group’s other members Tamir Ruffi n (Nokio), Larry Anthony (Jazz), would make it here, but added that they were doing their best.

If Sisqo succeeds in his quest to convince his former colleagues to embrace the re-union, then fans of 1990s music will be the fi rst to witness Dru Hill on the same stage in a long time. Fingers crossed everyone.
