WHILE the Big Brother reality TV game show is by nature unpredictable, at least we got it right in predicting that three of last week’s four nominees would go home.

Just like three of the four nominated in week one went, the second eviction show of StarGame last Sunday left only Liberian model Zainab standing.

Of the four possible evictees, Zainab had the biggest number of country votes and was elevated to the stars’ house in Upville. That meant the feisty model’s obscure countrywoman Dalphin was booted, along with Sierra Leones Yardel and Luke.

But while we got that one right, Big Brother’s unpredictable twists and turns came to catch us by surprise. No sooner had the evictees made their way offstage and Zainab entered Upville, than show host Ik informed Africa that this week the automated nomination process wouldn’t be putting any Downville house mates up for possible eviction.

Whatever gave Ik the information that this week it would be the Upville stars going on probation. And they would have to do it the customary Big Brother way of nominating each other come next day (Yesterday).

Although new Upville entrant Zainab would be saved the hustle, as no one would be allowed to nominate her and she too wouldn’t nominate anyone.

Straight to yesterday’s nominations: Mampi led the charts with 6 nominations from everyone except Maneta – all the house mates nominating her for engaging in too much gossip with Maneta.

Her fellow accused Maneta also picked 3 nominations, as did DKB. Those three are sure to be up for possible eviction this week, and Goldie who had two nominations could join them.

Biggie was to let us know the week’s final probation list yesterday evening, but remember DKB is head of house and could save himself by putting a safe house mate in his place.

Where does that leave our Ugandans? Being safe this week means they are now sure of at least another two weeks in the show, in case they are to be nominated and evicted during the coming week. For now, we are sure they have one month guaranteed in there.
