SELF-PROCLAIMED ghetto president, Bobi Wine has sworn to outperform and send into tears rival musician Bebe Cool at the Battle of the Champions concert slated for May 4 at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

The two artistes are to be pitted against each other in a show meant to prove who of the two is more powerful in terms of mass appeal.

Wine started making music in the early 2000s. His first singles were Akagoma, Funtula and Sunda (featuring Ziggy D), which brought Bobi Wine into the limelight. He was previously part of the group Fire Base Crew before later forming a new group Ghetto Republic of Uganja, which he leads.

Bebe Cool on the other hand was one of the first artists affiliated with Ogopa DJs, a production house and record label in Kenya.

Two of Bebe's popular singles are "Fitina" and "Mambo Mingi".He also collaborated with Halima Namakula, a Ugandan veteran woman musician, on their crossover track "Sambagala". He has released two solo albums, Maisha and Senta.

Bebe Cool has won several awards at the Pearl of Africa Music Awards (PAM Awards), he was nominated for the Kora All-African Awards in 2003 and 2005 and together with Kenyan duo Necessary Noize, Bebe Cool has formed a reggae group known as the East African Bashment Crew.

They have released one album, Fire, and two hit singles, "Africa Unite" and "Fire".

Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool will share a stage and try to outdo each other and wow the crowd with whatever songs they have ever recorded. So far, each has released a song dissing the other, and in various interviews, each has bragged to be better than the other.

“Bebe Cool himself knows I am better on stage and if he still doubts, I am going to simply make him cry when I punch him lyrically in the face,” bragged Bobi. Don’t feel big yet, Bobi. Over to you now, Bebe.
