SO you brush them off as attention-seeking stunts by artistes? Alright then, let’s begin with the lyrics of some songs we all have heard and videos most of us have seen.

The symbolism surrounding Lady Gaga’s songs is so blatant that one might wonder if it’s all just a sick joke. I want your ugly, I want your disease, I want your horror, I want your design, Cause you’re a criminal, as long as your mine, I want your psycho, I want your love.

These are lyrics from Lady Gaga’s song Bad Romance from her aptly titled album The Fame Monster. Artistes so badly want to become rich and international superstars that they would do nearly anything to achieve that.

“The easier or only way to get this is to subscribe to a “higher power,” according to Vigilant Citizen, a website dedicated to digging up the origin of occult symbols.

Gaga’s Bad Romance describes the dark and ritualistic innerworkings of the entertainment industry, by symbolically depicting Gaga as a sex slave. The video depicts Gaga as a willing victim in the music industry’s shady inner-workings. She wants to live a bad romance with the abusive, cruel and satanic music industry. She’s aware of all of its aws, but she still desires to be part of it more than anything else.

She has thus been turned into the “Fame Monster”. As some of us may know, Lady Gaga has 49 million Facebook fans and over 20 million twitter followers, the highest of them all. Lady Gaga’s other video, Alejandro, caused quite a stir. Many people are, however, still wondering what it was trying to convey?

“I know you may love me, but I just can’t be with you like this anymore, Alejandro,” are the rst words she murmurs. The video then starts with a funeral procession. Gaga wears a black veil and holds a bleeding human heart.

But who is Alejandro?
A guy she cannot be with? The imagery of the video tells the viewers that Alejandro might stand for something deeper. Looking at the sky, Gaga says: “Stop, please, just let me go, Alejandro,” she raises her hands to the sky. In this context, it is safe to say that Alejandro might very well be God. By the way the name Alejandro means defender of man.

The Bible spells to us who the Defender of Man is! Gaga’s robe contains many inverted crosses, which is extremely signi cant in symbolic language. The cross symbolises the Christian faith, its inversion and thus represents the violation of what
it symbolises, hence represents black magic and satanism. Jay Z and Beyoncé have topped the highest earning couple in Hollywood for years.

One other thing they are famous for; heavy use of occult symbolism. In his videos, Jay Z has used the Masonic hand, All-Seeing Eye, Baphomet, etc and like many rappers has directed his fans to holler the words Rain Man, believed to be a demon that rains money. Videos such as Rihanna’s Umbrella have Illuminati all over them.

“I have someone else that takes over when it’s time for me to work and when I’m on stage, this alter ego that I’ve created that kind of protects me and who I really am,” said Beyonce of her I am Sasha Fierce album.

Of course, most people are not acquainted with obscure concepts such as mind control and occult symbolism, so the whole thing might sound totally far-fetched and ridiculous. It’s not that it doesn’t exist; they are just unaware of its existence.
