Tenant breaks into latrine

WHAT do you do when nature's call strikes in the dead of night and your landlord has locked the only pit latrine in the vicinity? For any decent man, rather than ease yourself in a polythene bag, you break the toilet door.

And that's exactly Ssalongo did recently when he suddenly got a diarrhoea attack. Ssalongo, a resident of Kitintale, a Kampala suburb, looked around for an open latrine, but there was none.

Left with no option, Ssalongo kicked the door open and proceeded to ease himself. When the landlord found his door broken the next day, he tasked all his tenants to explain what had happened.

But his efforts to trace the culprit yielded no fruits as all the tenants denied breaking the door. He bought a new door and put a stronger lock. Ssalongo has since shifted from the area.
