Over 3000 people from the districts of Fort portal, Kasese and Budibugyo are to benefit from the surgical camp that will be offering free surgery services next week.

According to the president of the Association of Surgeons of Uganda Doctor Josephat Jombwe said that they will be handling complicated surgeries like goiter surgeries, abdominal and urinal surgeries among others.

“These are specialized surgeries that grassroot people cannot have done unless they visit the big referral hospitals that are far from their homes,” said Jombwe.

He said this at a press briefing yesterday at UMEME offices at Rwenzori House in Kampala. UMEME donated sh5m to the cause.
