Dress-down days at offices have become more common in recent years. Whether it is a way to reward employees or try to boost productivity, some employers are easing the office dress code for at least one day each week.
Even though Friday may be casual at the office, you do not want to look as if you are headed to the gym. Use these tips for dressing down at the office while still looking great.
Add a blazer. If jeans and t-shirts are allowed for an office dress-down day, add a short, flirty blazer to dress the outfit up just a bit.
Grab a pair of ballet shoes. Flip-flops and tennis shoes are better suited for the beach; however, a pretty pair of ballet shoes are perfect for office dress-down days, shoes which are comfortable and look good with jeans, khakis or a casual dress.
Dressy top with jeans. Dark jeans paired with a dressy top or sweater are perfect for dress-down days at the office.
Denim dresses and skirts. Some offices see denim in any form as inappropriate except for on Fridays. So save denim dresses and skirts for casual day.
Graphic tee. T-shirts are typically frowned upon in the office even on dress-down days. However, graphic tees come in a variety of styles and can be suitable for the office if chosen carefully.
