It is everyone’s dream to become famous. But did you know that fame comes at a cost? VICKY WANDAWA talked to Juliana Kanyomozi, a local artiste, about life in the limelight
People tend to judge you in a certain way. There is a certain image they have of celebrities, which in most cases, is wrong. Every time I meet someone for the first time, they are completely surprised that I am the complete opposite of what they expected to find. I miss the freedom of being able to do anything without worrying about being judged.
Naturally, I am a simple person, who likes to do simple things, but apparently, celebrities are not expected to be simple, which I find ridiculous.
Nonetheless, being in the limelight has enabled me to meet different people. And they are so loving and kind to me everywhere I go. But mostly, it is a platform to use my music to touch people’s lives positively.
