ISAAC Ntege’s 19th minute goal denied Bunamwaya SC the opportunity to leap to the apex of the Uganda Super League as Victors FC piped the 2010 champions 1-0 on Friday.

Not even Victors players a Karim Ndugwa’s red card could soften Bunamwaya’s task to return to the top of the table.

“I must say we played a better team,” accepted coach Edward Golola after a Isaac Ntege header silenced the 2010 champions at Kakindu.

Bunamwaya went into the game knowing that a win would have seen them equal table leader URA FC’s 37points.

Express was unstoppable as they beat UTODA 4-1 courtesy to Erisa Sekisambu, Yayo Lutimba Bonny Baingana and Rogers Lukwiya goals.

Maroons coach Asaph Mwebaze was at Luzira left cursing the referees as visitors Villa beat his side. Moses Ndaula and Steven Bengo scored for Villa while the hosts’ consolation came from George Abege.
