Ever desired to have dreadlocks but just couldn’t go through the hustle of having to lock your own hair? Dreadlock extensions are the way to go.
For those who barely have time to keep changing hair styles, these dreadlocks are a great option. The biggest advantage of these extensions is that your natural hair stays intact and you can remove the dreadlocks whenever you desire to.
Natural hair is used to make these extensions by creating the lock which is then attached to one’s scalp. Most professional salons will be able to give you dreadlock extensions in any colour, but you can always look around majestic plaza, also known as the “kiwaani heaven” for them.
These dreads, however, do need regular trips to the salon, in order to maintain a tidy and clean head. With these dreads, it’s advisable to wash your hair once every 1 ½ weeks at most. Washing your hair too regularly can dry out the roots and cause dandruff.
It will also cause your hair to lock at the roots more easily. Your hair needs its natural oils to keep it in a healthy condition. You must also remember to use the essential braids spray. The great thing about synthetic dreads is that they can be re-used again and again if they are well looked after. And guess what, the older dreads get, the more natural they look.
If you have a sensitive scalp, it may get itchy or you will experience a mild scalp rash. Sometimes you may also get headaches during the first few days, but these eventually wear off.
Most people experience none of these symptoms at all. Now that you have the guide to the dreads, go ahead and lock your hair.
