AVAILABILITY of Sweden based Martin Mutumba Kayongo for the Cranes 2013 Africa Nations Cup qualifier opening game against Congo-Brazaville is in balance because FUFA is yet to secure his Ugandan passport.

FUFA is fighting to secure a dual citizenship for the players and the technical director Asuman Lubowa said that “it is not easy.”

Cranes defender Hassan Wasswa (Turkey) and Musa Mudde (Kenya) are the first to arrive for preparations of the 2013 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Congo-Brazaville.

The players jetted in this morning ahead of training starting at Namboole on Friday. Ethiopia based Mike Serumaga and Isaac Isinde, the duo of Moses Oloya and Brian Umony from Vietnam are also expected together with TP Mazembe striker Patrick Ochan from DR Congo this evening.

Midfielder Tonny Mawejje and striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma are expected to jet in from South Africa before the team starts training 10:00am. Rwanda based winger Dan Wagaluka and defender Habib Kavuma arrive later Thursday.

Andrew Mwesigwa from Kazakhstan is expected to go straight to training as he arrives at 7:00am Friday while the team will start training with home based goalkeeper Ali Kimera as Abel Dhaira is expected on Friday evening while Denis Onyango come on Saturday.

The professional players will be joined by home based players Kimera, Simeon Masaba, Godfrey Walusimbi, Henry Kalungi, Steven Bengo and Ismael Kazibwe. Williamson will pick 18 of the players to travel for the trip to Congo-Brazaville.
