The case in which suspended Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) director for physical planning, George Agaba and his body guard, Santos Komakech are accused of murder has been further adjourned for mention.

Nakawa Court Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu adjourned the case to February 22, 2012 after prosecution asked for more time to complete investigations.

The two were recently charged with murder on separate occasions in relation to the shooting incident during a botched eviction exercise in Port Bell in Luzira, a Kampala suburb that left one person dead and two injured.

John Onyango was shot dead while Florence Nalwadda and Akim Kakumba sustained gunshot wounds when Komakech allegedly opened fire into residents as they resisted an attempt to evict them from the area by KCCA.

Agaba and Komachek were returned to Luzira prison after their lawyer said they would not apply for bail.
