SHEILA Nakamatte’s moment of glory was when she heard that she was the only pupil in Najjera Progressive School to achieve aggregate four in last year’s Primary Leaving Examinations.

She scooped distinction ones in English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.

“I found out the good news after my head teacher, Simon Sseddungu, ,called my dad to let me know that I had passed,” Nakamatte said.

She attributes her success to her father, Godfrey Semanda, who sacrificed a lot to ensure that she excelled in her examinations.

Nakamatte wants to be a cardiologist.

She said she was very emotional during the trial of Dr. Aggrey Kiyingi, a Ugandan cardiologist based in Australia, whom she thought would be convicted and sentenced to death.

Nakamatte said she will join Gayaza High School for her O level.

Sseddungu, described her as an exceptional pupil who did not have to be pushed to read her books.

“She never wasted a single minute of her studies. That is why she got these results,” the headteacher said.
