Suzan Nakyeyune, one of the best performing pupils of St. Leos Junior Primary School in Nyendo, Masaka district, has attributed her good performance to the exemplary care and determination of her parents.

Her father, Eddie Sejjoba, works with The New Vision. Her mother, Connie Ayebare, is a teacher at Kako Secondary School.

“They did everything possible to pay my school fees in time, which gave me courage to read my books,” Nakyeyune said.

She prayed four times every day, asking God to give her victory, which she has achieved with aggregate five, with a distinction two in English.

Nakyeyune is among the 138 pupils who scored first grades for the school, which is among the best-performing in Masaka.

She wants to join Trinity College Nabbingo and become a lawyer.
