Is Dr Muranga press shy?

Despite her innovations under the Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development, team leader Dr. Florence Muranga appears to be press shy.

When The New Vision informed her that she had been nominated for the science woman achiever’s award, she accepted an interview and gave an appointment.

But when the journalist turned up to meet her, she smiled and said: “Whoever nominated me should have informed me first. I cannot give you an interview.”
