- Former darts boss Abbey Ariong is vying to return to the chair when the Uganda Darts Association (UDA) assembly convenes in Jinja on Saturday. The Kobs club chairperson will take on incumbent Mike Ezua in what is expected to be a stiff contest at Guest Villa in Walukuba. This will be the first time is six years for two people to contest the UDA chair. “Our resolve is to give people choice to pick the best leader,” explained Ariong’s campaigner who declined to be named.

CRO declares four deserters
- Four players of Mbale based CRO FC have been declared deserters after failing to report to camp for second round engagements. Club boss Moses Bwayo named the deserters as Simon Apedel, Dive Kyagulanyi, Churchill Kamba and Robert Kabanda. The team has meanwhile recruited Oscar Sandy formerly of SC Villa and Anthony Malisa from Kenya.
