BEING as orphan did not deter Sunday Amale Balla from excelling in the just last year’s A’ level examinations.
Bala, a former student of Layibi College, scored 19 points with CCAC in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology and credit in general paper.
“My parents died and since then, I lived with my cousin brother who paid my fees from senior one to senior three. Windle Trust-Acholi bursary scheme gave me a scholarship from senior four to senior six,†he remarked.
He attributed his success to hard work, group discussions, guidance from teachers and prayers.
