NILE Special Premier Rugby League clubs will not rest after the first round due to a busy international schedule this season.

The second round will kick off tomorrow but with Hima Impis yet to play first round games against uganda telecom Kobs and Entebbe Mongers.

Impis, a Makerere University team whose players were still in recess, started the league three weeks behind schedule.

National rugby manager Yayiro Kasasa explained that other local and international competitions on the calendar did not allow for a break.

“We want to finish the league and embark on the international competitions,” Kasasa remarked.

After the league, the Bamburi Series will kick off on April 27 followed by the Safari Sevens in June.

The Victoria/Elgon Cup involving Kenya, Uganda and Zimbabwe is set for July while club action will resume in September with the Uganda Cup.

The Sevens Circuit and Hima Makerere 10 events are due in October. The season will end up with the IRB Dubai Sevens in December.
