OVER 140 golfers will be looking for a share of honours at the revived Seniors Classic golf Open today.

Action is at Uganda Golf Club, Kitante.

The vice chairman of the Seniors Golfing Society Mackenzie Ogweng said plans for the event have been finalised.

“We last held the tournament six years ago, it is great that we are reviving it,” Ogweng explained at the course yesterday.

The official said that the senior players will tee off at 11am while those in the subsidiary group will begin action at 7am.

The tournament that is sponsored by Computer Point, attracts golf’s seniors in three categories.

Category A has players above 70 years, B is for 61-69 and C for 55-60.

The tournament sponsor P. K. Kuruvilla, Okello Ocero, Haider Somani and Amos Nzeyi in category A have entered the event.
Category B comprises Simon Kego and Nyago Magala while C has Patrick Magala and Henry Ssali.
