PUSHED WOMEN TO EXCEL
African women are a very strong people. Over time, men’s attitude towards women and the way they treat women has changed. Ironically, it is men’s treatment of women over the generations that has empowered us. For example, women who are in bad marriages, get the determination to survive on their own. They actually excel because it is traumatic for them to look back.

Men have taken their daughters to school and encouraged them to excel. unfortunately, they are often unsupportive of their wives. In the Parliament, where men are the majority, favourable policies have been passed such as the education of girls.

Men have joined women in promoting issues affecting them. During the Constituent Assembly, men played a big role in putting issues that promoted women in the Constitution.
