A taxi conductor who pretended to be a passenger got a beating on Saturday at Wandegeya.
The conductor had sat inside the Ntinda-bound taxi disguised as a passenger so that people would be fooled into thinking the taxi needed only a few more passengers.
His tricks turned sour when a passenger asked him why he had opted to dupe the passengers. The conductor told him off, saying it was none of his business.
A hot exchange ensued and the angry passenger beat him up. They were separated by onlookers at the stage, but the passenger refused to board the taxi.
