THE uganda telecom Kobs coach Herbert Wafula will certainly be out to exorcise the heartache of a home defeat to Entebbe Mongers last week with victory over Hima Impis in the Nile Special Premier Rugby League today.

Wafula, who coached Impis last season and was captain of the Makerere University team in the 1990s, does not intend to do the students any favours.

“I am a professional. I am supposed to do my job to the best of my ability. It’s not about yesterday, it is about tomorrow. We are going to win at Makerere,” Wafula remarked.

“I noticed some of their players have improved but we still have an upper hand.”

Kobs that are fourth in the event, 14 points behind leaders Heathens having lost two games, must win at Makerere University today to keep their diminishing title hopes alive.

Kobs have played one game less.

Impis who gave Heathens a run for their money in their 27-10 defeat midweek showed, they were capable of frustrating any giant team.

Kobs will be without Lawrence Wakabi and Stephen Ogwete in the last match of the first round.

Elsewhere, Heathens are favourites to carry the day against Jinja side Nile.
