SIMBA Telecom has created the first mobile money banking hall, in a move aimed at providing instant money transfer services in a convenient and efficient manner.

The state-of-the-art mobile money transfer facility will be available to all SIMBA Telecom outlets countrywide including Kampala, Jinja, Iganga, Mbarara, Kabale, Ishaka, Mpigi and Ntungamo among other outlets.

“Customers are looking for more control and greater convenience and efficiency to meet their money transfer needs,” Scott Mackenzie, the SIMBA Telecom chief executive officer, explained.

“We are aggressively moving into mobile money banking to consolidate our number one position and our outlets are designed to do just that.”

He said all MTN customers can use their outlets to transfer their money using their mobile phones. SIMBA operates as the main dealer for MTN in Uganda.

Patrick Bitature, the SIMBA Group chairman, gave out sh1m to the first lucky customer who registered for the mobile money transfer services.

“Every week we shall be giving out sh1m to our customers who register or transact at any of our outlets,” Bitature said.
