THE Nile Special Premier Rugby League continues today with G4S Pirates taking on Hima Impis at Mkarere ground.

Pirates, who struggled to beat Rhinos 23-19 last weekend take on a much hard and tactical Impis side that is eyeing fourth spot on the table.

With Prop Brian Makalama who lost his grandmother and the injured Greg Lukendo ruled out of the game, Pirates coach Sam Ahamya is still optimistic that his side will emerge victors.

“We are out not only for a win but to get a bonus point,” Ahamya remarked.

He explained that in 1998, Impis lost the title to Kobs who won the team’s first round tie with a bonus point.

Impis failed to achieve the same result in the second round and lost the crown. However Impis captain Dan Obote ruled out defeat at home.

“We are ready and we shall give them a hard game,” Obote explained.
“If they are lucky they will leave with a win but not a bonus point.”

Meanwhile, in the University League, the game between Hima Impis II and Kyambogo University was postponed on Tuesday.

The decision followed protests sparked off by the guild elections at Makerere University.

Meanwhile, eight teams are due in Mbale for the Coca Cola national post primary schools rugby tournament due tomorrow.

Elsewhere, Busamaga primary school beat Police to lift the second edition of the Mt Elgon tag rugby tournament.
