Patricia Amongin, a P6 pupil at Bulule Primary School, reportedly grabbed the testicles of one of the robbers who had broken into their house on Tuesday night.
According to the LC1 defence secretary, Robert Wafula, the robbers were armed with pangas, spears and batons.
Amongin, who was with her parents, crawled on the floor and grabbed the testicles of the suspected robber who was standing at the door.
Wafula said the man screamed, prompting the others to abandon their weapons and flee.
He said this is the second time in less than two years robbers are disarmed in a similar manner in the area.
