NATIONAL champion Ronald Ssebuguzi powered his Mitsubishi Evo5 through the muddy track to win the Race-to-Race Masters Sprint at Lubiri on Sunday.

The Jomayi Property Consultants sponsored Ssebuguzi clocked seven minutes 24.71 seconds. Pre-event favourites Shafiq Ssemuju, Godfrey Lubega and Club T1 sponsored Nasser Mutebi slipped off the track in the race that ran under heavy rain.
Ssebuguzi beat second placed Duncan Mubiru (Mitsubishi Evo4) by seven seconds.
“Driving on a slippery track is tricky and I enjoyed the challenge. I am glad I survived the muddy surface,†Ssebuguzi stated.
