The professionals will be added to the district quota of 42 recruits and three officer cadets in the ongoing UPDF recruitment drive. Lira to curb AIDS infections
LIRA - The district is to extend the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS programme to health centres. Dr. Ben Okao, the district HIV/AIDS focal person, said the programme will be supported by Medical Teams International, an NGO, aiming at reducing the rate of infection during and after pregancy.
