THE body of the son of the animal industry state minister, Lt. Col. Bright Rwamirama, was laid to rest on Tuesday at Masha sub-county, Isingiro district.

Beine Rukaari, 22, was on Saturday found dead in a room at his father’s home in Kololo, Kampala.

Speaking at the burial, the inspector general of Police, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura, assured the family that the Police was investigating the matter.

Kayihura asked those with information to help the Police find out the cause of Beine’s death.

He labelled media reports that Beine poisoned himself as nonsense

“The newspapers reported poisoning as the cause of Beine’s death. It’s nonsense because we have not yet got a postmortem report. I believe we shall get the truth,” he said.

Kayihura, however, urged the parents and the community to help with the investigation.

Hope Mwesigye, the agriculture minister, delivered the condolence message of President Yoweri Museveni. The President described the death of Beine as a loss to the country.

He advised Rwamirama and his family to seek God’s help whom he said would help in such difficult moments. Rwamirama thanked President Museveni for supporting the family.

Vice-President Prof.Gilbert Bukenya asked the family to remain firm and reminded them that the same thing happened to him when his son died in a motor-accident.
