THE name KS Alpha on the Ugandan music scene connotes an industrious young artiste, who has a knack for producing chart-shattering tracks like Selector and Ugandan Girl, which have all featured on MTV Base.

He recently released two great hits: Muzik and Waistline — the latter being a collaboration with Jamaican artistes, Tanto Metro and Devonte — whose music videos rock on MTV.

The video project for Waistline raises the bar for urban African music a notch higher.

It has a blend of simplicity and state-of-the-art digital video technique which is yet to be explored by music video producers on the continent.

Muzik features the hottest video vixens in Uganda and has a feel-good, sexy, party vibe. It also exudes a super catchy hook ideal for dancehall fans.

About this video, Alpha says: “It was fun shooting it with all those sexy girls around me.

However, I am still shocked that a few days after the track played on MTV base, it instantly joined the MTV base East African count down.”

The hit maker, who goes by the alter ego Di Conqueror (an apt description of himself), is making a steady imprint on the music industry, both locally and internationally.

He has an upper hand in the industry because he produces his own music.
As a performer, he exudes perfection and magnificent stage presence, which very few artistes can match.

His genre is basically reggae/dancehall, but with a Ugandan flavour. This makes his music marketable across borders.

With such ingenuity, the artiste has managed to work with a host of international artistes like Shaggy during MTN’s celebration of 10 years in Rwanda, Twiggy on his upcoming project and several local artistes.

Armed with this excellent profile, the sky is the limit for this freelance producer-cum performer whose dream is to become the number one producer in Africa.
