UMEME Hoima, take action

EDITOR—I request the management of Umeme to monitor the operations of their staff in Hoima. There is a danger that people are going to be electrocuted. Nsenene (grasshopper) harvesters have been given the liberty of hanging high voltage bulbs from the power lines.

The Fort Portal-Hoima Road is as bright as day at night because of hundreds of powerful bulbs hanging from the power lines. Rumour has it that some Umeme officers in the Hoima offices are involved because they get a cut from the deal.

Places like Kiryatete East is always plunged into darkness as a result of overloading the transformers. A new transformer on that road is always being repaired! UMEME, take action!
