RWENZORI face Kenya’s Rhinos at Kampala club today in a match they must win to keep their Bamburi Rugby Super Series campaign alive. The Rwenzori side, handled by Kenyan coach Ham Onsando who is also in charge of Uganda’s national team, went down to their domestic counterparts Victoria 16-13 last week.

But defeat will rule Rwenzori, led by inspirational player John Musoke, out of the running for a place in the semi-finals.

They face a Rhinos side that hit compatriots Buffaloes 61-0 in their first game.

Musoke is optimistic his team can rise to the occasion.

“The mood in the camp is high and the boys are ready for nothing but victory,” Musoke stated.

Team coach Onsando will build his side around skilled players including Robert Seguya, Scot Oluoch, Michael Wokorach, Brian Odong, Solomon Mawanda, Paul Kabazi, Lenny Kikonyogo and Anthony Kinene.

Rhinos also has players who can match the opponents including Daniel Kiptoo, Vicent Ongera and Victor Sudi.

Elsewhere, Victoria will take on Buffaloes in western Kenya.
